In Skagit County the citizens, businesses and governmental agencies regularly come to together to solve problems, plan for the future, and celebrate each other. The ties between the community and public safety are particularly strong. Several critical roles in the community are filled with volunteers –giving Skagit County citizens the ability to be a part of the safe-keeping system. In turn, this grew Skagit County’s relationship with public safety professionals into what it is today –a truly strong community dedicated to helping out one and another.
Even in the face of tragedy, Skagit County’s community joined hands together and created their own slogan, “SKAGIT STRONG”.
